March of the Lava Fields by Andrew F. Poor

This grade 1 piece (a 2015 J.W. Pepper Editor's Choice) was written for the South Forsyth Middle School 6th Grade Band. The work was premiered in May of 2015 and is published by Northeastern Music Publications. This is a fun piece for first-year musicians and is great for some cross-curriculum studies with your science department. Inspired by the relentless and destructive power of the  KÄ«lauea volcano lava fields moving toward Pahoa, Hawaii. Enjoy! http://www.jwpepper.com/March-of-the-Lava-Fields/10520237.item#.VXC4zs9VhBc
